Connect LibreChat
Add looot to a LibreChat server through librechat.yaml and let users sign in with OAuth.

MCP over Streamable HTTP at https://api.looot.ai/mcp
LibreChat is a self-hosted chat app. You declare MCP servers in librechat.yaml, then restart. LibreChat handles OAuth, token storage and refresh per user.
Before you start you need a looot account. The runs you make spend the organization’s balance, so top up before your first paid run. See Before your first run.
Steps
- Open
librechat.yamlon your server. - Add the server under
mcpServers. - Restart LibreChat. Open a chat, enable the looot server from the MCP menu and sign in when asked.
mcpServers:
looot:
type: streamable-http
url: https://api.looot.ai/mcp
timeout: 60000
initTimeout: 15000
The server URL is https://api.looot.ai/mcp.
Sign-in
LibreChat runs the OAuth flow itself. The callback URL it registers is ${DOMAIN_SERVER}/api/mcp/looot/oauth/callback, built from your DOMAIN_SERVER value, so that value must be the public address users reach. Each user signs in on looot.ai and picks the organization to bill. Do not add an Authorization header unless you want one shared agent token for everyone.
Check it works
Ask LibreChat to call balance or catalog_overview. Both are free. A working connection answers
with your available balance, or the catalog’s categories and job counts.
A first prompt to try
Ask looot for my balance, then search its catalog for a tool that finds a work email from a name and company domain, and show me the price before running anything.
Troubleshooting
- Callback fails:
DOMAIN_SERVERdoes not match the address in the browser. - Server not listed: the YAML key must be
mcpServers, indentation is two spaces, and the app needs a restart. - Tool calls time out on slow runs: raise
timeout. - Still stuck: see Troubleshooting.
What you see when you connect
If the client uses browser sign-in, it opens looot.ai and shows the consent page: which organization to bill, which scopes to grant and how long to stay connected. See The consent page.
