Connect Claude Desktop

Add looot as a custom connector on Claude Desktop, sign in with the browser, and check it works.

Claude Desktop reaches looot through a custom connector. The same connector works in Claude Desktop, claude.ai and the Claude mobile apps: see claude.ai if you’re setting that up too.

Before you start you need a looot account. The runs you make spend the organization’s balance, so top up before your first paid run. See Before your first run.

Sign in with the browser

The server URL is https://api.looot.ai/mcp. Nothing to copy: you sign in on looot.ai, pick the organization to bill and click Connect.

Add a custom connector

1. Open Customize, then Connectors, then +, then Add custom connector.
2. Name: looot. Remote MCP server URL: https://api.looot.ai/mcp. Leave Advanced settings empty.
3. Click Add, then Connect. Sign in on looot.ai, pick the organization, click Connect.
4. In a chat, open the + menu, then Connectors, and turn looot on.

Headless: a token in the header

This client has no field for a header token. Browser sign-in is the only way.

Notes

• Team and Enterprise: an Owner adds it once under Organization settings, Connectors; each member then clicks Connect.
• The Free plan allows one custom connector.
• No Node, no mcp-remote and no token: the connection runs from Anthropic’s cloud.

Check it works

Ask Claude to call balance or catalog_overview. Both are free. A working connection answers with your available balance, or the catalog’s categories and job counts.

What you see when you connect

The browser opens looot.ai and shows the consent page: which organization to bill, which scopes to grant and how long to stay connected. See The consent page.
