Connect Gumloop

Add looot as a custom MCP connector in Gumloop and give an agent access to it.

GumloopNot tested by hand yet

MCP over Streamable HTTP at https://api.looot.ai/mcp

Gumloop builds agents and workflows. A custom MCP server becomes a connector you then attach to an agent.

Before you start you need a looot account. The runs you make spend the organization’s balance, so top up before your first paid run. See Before your first run.

Steps

  1. Open Settings, Connectors, click the arrow next to Add Connector and choose Add MCP Connector.
  2. Set the connection type to Public URL.
  3. Enter https://api.looot.ai/mcp and click Connect.
  4. Go to your agent, open Connectors, click Add Connector, search for the server you just added and select it.

The server URL is https://api.looot.ai/mcp.

Sign-in

Gumloop’s page names the URL and connection type but does not describe the sign-in step. Expect the browser to open looot.ai for sign-in; if Gumloop asks for a credential instead, use an agent token from Settings.

Check it works

Ask Gumloop to call balance or catalog_overview. Both are free. A working connection answers with your available balance, or the catalog’s categories and job counts.

A first prompt to try

Ask looot for my balance, then search its catalog for a tool that finds a work email from a name and company domain, and show me the price before running anything.

Troubleshooting

  • The URL must be HTTPS and publicly reachable. api.looot.ai is.
  • Server added but the agent cannot call it: you also have to attach it from the agent’s Connectors list.
  • Gumloop supports Streamable HTTP and SSE; looot uses Streamable HTTP.
  • Still stuck: see Troubleshooting.

What you see when you connect

If the client uses browser sign-in, it opens looot.ai and shows the consent page: which organization to bill, which scopes to grant and how long to stay connected. See The consent page.
