Connect Cline

Add the looot MCP server to Cline in VS Code with a token in its MCP settings file, and check it works.

Cline reaches looot’s catalog, balance and runs over MCP, through its MCP settings file. Cline’s docs describe headers, not browser sign-in, so this client uses a token.

Before you start you need a looot account. The runs you make spend the organization’s balance, so top up before your first paid run. See Before your first run.

A token in the config file

This client has no browser sign-in. The server URL is https://api.looot.ai/mcp. Create an agent token in Settings and send it as Authorization: Bearer <token>. Never commit it and never paste it into a chat.

Notes

• Cline’s docs list only headers for remote servers, not browser sign-in, so this client uses a token. Create the token at looot.ai/connect under Advanced: set up with a token instead, and copy only the token.
• To open the file: click the MCP Servers icon in the Cline panel, open the Configure tab, then click Configure MCP Servers. The Cline CLI reads ~/.cline/mcp.json.
• “type”: “streamableHttp” must be set. Without it Cline may pick the legacy SSE transport.
• The Remote Servers tab has no header field, so it cannot carry the token.
• Labels may differ slightly in your version.

Check it works

Ask Cline to call balance or catalog_overview. Both are free. A working connection answers with your available balance, or the catalog’s categories and job counts.
