looot CLI 1.3.0

What changed for looot customers in looot CLI 1.3.0.

npm install -g looot now installs 1.3.0. Nothing to change in your setup.

New

  • looot run ... --fallback: if a provider misses or fails, the run moves to the next provider of the same job. One hold covers the whole walk and only attempts that ran are charged. Tune it with --fallback-max-attempts N, --fallback-max-cost-usd X, --fallback-prefer, --fallback-exclude id,id and --fallback-stop-at-first-miss.
  • --prefer cheapest|reliable|fastest|balanced on looot search, looot catalog search and looot discover.
  • looot catalog overview: what the catalog covers, by category, platform and job, with provider counts and the cheapest price at each level. Works without a token.
  • A signed-in search that finds nothing says why (no provider does this job yet, or every provider is above your price cap). looot inspect adds a Key: line saying whose key runs it.

Spending limits per key

API keys can now have a monthly spending limit (Settings, API keys). When a key reaches it, a run is refused before any provider is called, at $0, with the error key_spend_limit_reached and a line telling you where to raise it.

Fixed

  • The installed package no longer carries any server code from the catalog’s ranking step.
