Get YouTube Shorts search (raw data, recommend V2)

TikHub tool tikhub-api-youtube-web-v2-get-shorts-search on looot: input fields, $0.001 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

Searches YouTube Shorts and returns raw YouTube data; use /get_shorts_search_v2 for cleaned results. Send search_query, with optional language_code, country_code, time_zone, filter_mixed_content and continuation_token. The first page can include long videos, which filter_mixed_content removes by default.

  • Tool id: tikhub-api-youtube-web-v2-get-shorts-search
  • Provider: TikHub
  • Job: Get shorts search api youtube web v2 (api.youtube.web-v2.get-shorts-search)
  • Price: $0.001 per call. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.

Inputs

Name Type Required Description
continuation_token string no Pagination token
country_code string no Country code
filter_mixed_content boolean no Filter mixed content (long videos), default True
language_code string no Language code
search_query string yes Search keyword
sort_by string no Sort by for Shorts
time_zone string no Time zone
upload_time string no Upload time filter for Shorts

Output

Shape of the run’s result, the expected shape, not yet checked against real answers:

{ code, data: { header: {}, topbar: {}, contents: {}, targetId, trackingParams, isShortsContext, responseContext: { responseId, visitorData }, estimatedResults }, docs, time, params: { time_zone, country_code, search_query, language_code, filter_mixed_content }, router, message, support, cache_url, time_zone, message_zh, request_id, time_stamp, cache_message, cache_message_zh }

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

Example input with placeholder values:

curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"tikhub-api-youtube-web-v2-get-shorts-search","input":{"search_query":"<search_query>"},"wait":30}'
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {

    input: {

});
const run = await response.json();
