Get YouTube channel shorts

TikHub tool tikhub-api-youtube-web-v2-get-channel-shorts on looot: input fields, $0.001 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

Returns YouTube channel’s Shorts (short videos) list. Optional inputs: channel_id, channel_url, need_format, continuation_token. Returns _format=true. continuation_token: Pagination token (optional, for next page). Supports pagination to get more shorts.

  • Tool id: tikhub-api-youtube-web-v2-get-channel-shorts
  • Provider: TikHub
  • Job: List a YouTube channel’s Shorts (youtube.channel.shorts)
  • Price: $0.001 per call. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.

Inputs

Name Type Required Description
channel_id string no Channel ID (e.g., UCuAXFkgsw1L7xaCfnd5JJOw).
channel_url string no Ignored if channel_id is provided). Example: “https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuAXFkgsw1L7xaCfnd5JJOw”
continuation_token string no Pagination token
need_format boolean no Whether to format data. Example: true

Output

Shape of the run’s result, the expected shape, not yet checked against real answers:

{ code, data: { shorts: unknown[], has_more, channel_id, total_count }, docs, time, params: { channel_id, channel_url }, router, message, support, cache_url, time_zone, message_zh, request_id, time_stamp, cache_message, cache_message_zh }

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

Example input with placeholder values:

curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"tikhub-api-youtube-web-v2-get-channel-shorts","input":{"channel_id":"<channel_id>","channel_url":"<channel_url>","need_format":true},"wait":30}'
