Get Reddit app topic feed

TikHub tool tikhub-api-reddit-app-fetch-topic-feed on looot: input fields, $0.001 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

Returns the feed for a specific Reddit community topic. Send topic_id (Topic ID); optional sort, time, language, need_format and more. Typical flow: call /fetch_explore_feed first to get topicIds, then pass one here.

  • Tool id: tikhub-api-reddit-app-fetch-topic-feed
  • Provider: TikHub
  • Job: Fetch topic feed api reddit app (api.reddit.app.fetch-topic-feed)
  • Price: $0.001 per call. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.

Inputs

Name Type Required Description
language string no Preferred response language as an IETF language tag; default: en-US
need_format boolean no Whether to clean and format the data
scheme_name string no Topic scheme name (default for the app: communities_tab_taxonomy_topics_default)
sort string no Sort method: BEST, HOT, NEW, TOP, CONTROVERSIAL
time string no Time range: ALL, HOUR, DAY, WEEK, MONTH, YEAR
topic_id string yes Topic ID (from topics in /fetch_explore_feed)

Output

The run’s result holds the provider’s answer. Signed in, looot inspect tikhub-api-reddit-app-fetch-topic-feed prints its fields.

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

Example input with placeholder values:

curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"tikhub-api-reddit-app-fetch-topic-feed","input":{"topic_id":"<topic_id>"},"wait":30}'
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.LOOOT_TOKEN}`,
    "Content-Type": "application/json",
    "Idempotency-Key": crypto.randomUUID(),
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    endpointId: "tikhub-api-reddit-app-fetch-topic-feed",
    input: {
      topic_id: "<topic_id>",
    },
    wait: 30,
  }),
});
const run = await response.json();
console.log(run.status, run.result);
