SearchAPI.io - Google Maps Directions Search Along Route API

SearchAPI.io tool searchapi-io-google-maps-directions-search-along-route on looot: input fields, $0.004 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

The Google Maps Directions Search Along Route API returns the places Google Maps surfaces along a driving route, for example gas stations, restaurants, coffee shops, or hotels between an origin and a destination. Results are distributed across the whole route corridor (not just near the origin), and each place includes its title, place ID, data ID, rating, reviews, address, phone, opening hours, and GPS coordinates. The route comes from the Google Maps Directions API (google_maps_directions engine): call it with your origin and destination, then pass the search_along_route_token it returns here as the search_along_route_token parameter, along with the place category in q.

Inputs

Name Type Required Description
engine string no Fixed to “google_maps_directions_search_along_route” for this endpoint. Example: “google_maps_directions_search_along_route”
hl string no
page integer no
q string yes
search_along_route_token string yes

Output

The run’s result holds the provider’s answer. Signed in, looot inspect searchapi-io-google-maps-directions-search-along-route prints its fields.

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

Example input with placeholder values:
