Scrape Creators API / Trending Reels

ScrapeCreators tool scrapecreators-instagram-reels-trending on looot: input fields, $0.00188 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

Fetches trending reels from Instagram’s public instagram.com/reels page. Instagram only gives a small batch at a time and the results can overlap, so call this endpoint over and over when you want more. Each call should return new-ish results, but expect some duplicates because that is how Instagram’s reels page behaves too. Returns reels, an array of reel objects with shortcode, URL, caption, media URLs, engagement counts when Instagram exposes them, and user info.

Inputs

This tool takes no input fields. Send "input": {}.

Output

Shape of the run’s result, the expected shape, not yet checked against real answers:

{ reels: { id, pk, url, caption, taken_at, has_audio, image_url, shortcode, video_url, media_type, product_type, original_width, video_versions: unknown[], image_versions2: {}, original_height }[], success, credits_charged, credits_remaining }

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

Example input with placeholder values:

curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"scrapecreators-instagram-reels-trending","input":{},"wait":30}'
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.LOOOT_TOKEN}`,
    "Content-Type": "application/json",
    "Idempotency-Key": crypto.randomUUID(),
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    endpointId: "scrapecreators-instagram-reels-trending",
    input: {},
    wait: 30,
  }),
});
const run = await response.json();
console.log(run.status, run.result);
