Scrape Creators API / Basic Profile

ScrapeCreators tool scrapecreators-instagram-basic-profile on looot: input fields, $0.00188 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

Fetches a lightweight Instagram profile summary by user ID, returning username, full name, biography, profile picture URL, verification status, follower count, following count, media count, and account privacy and type. Ideal for quick lookups or enrichment when you already have the numeric user ID.

Inputs

Name Type Required Description
cache_max_age string no Example: “7d”
userId string no

Output

Shape of the run’s result, the expected shape, not yet checked against real answers:

{ pk, zip, gating, fbid_v2, success, username, bio_links: unknown[], biography, city_name, full_name, is_private, is_business, is_verified, account_type, address_street, follower_count, is_unpublished, linked_fb_info, credits_charged, has_profile_pic, is_memorialized, profile_pic_url, is_regulated_c18, supervision_info, credits_remaining, friendship_status, has_story_archive, is_coppa_enforced, latest_reel_media, live_broadcast_id, mutual_followers_count, hd_profile_pic_url_info: { url }, show_text_post_app_badge, live_broadcast_visibility, text_post_app_badge_label, profile_pic_genai_tool_inf... ...

The shape is cut here. Signed in, looot inspect scrapecreators-instagram-basic-profile prints all of it.

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

Example input with placeholder values:

curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"scrapecreators-instagram-basic-profile","input":{"userId":"<userId>","cache_max_age":"7d"},"wait":30}'
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.LOOOT_TOKEN}`,
    "Content-Type": "application/json",
    "Idempotency-Key": crypto.randomUUID(),
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    endpointId: "scrapecreators-instagram-basic-profile",
    input: {
      userId: "<userId>",
      cache_max_age: "7d",
    },
    wait: 30,
  }),
});
const run = await response.json();
console.log(run.status, run.result);
