Scrape Creators API / Facebook Group Posts

ScrapeCreators tool scrapecreators-facebook-group-posts on looot: input fields, $0.00188 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

Fetches posts from a public Facebook group, limited to 3 posts per page due to API limitations. Each post includes id, text, url, reactionCount, commentCount, publishTime, videoDetails, and topComments. Results are chronological by default. Supports TOP_POSTS, RECENT_ACTIVITY, CHRONOLOGICAL, and CHRONOLOGICAL_LISTINGS with cursor-based pagination. Send one of: url, group_id.

  • Tool id: scrapecreators-facebook-group-posts
  • Provider: ScrapeCreators
  • Job: Posts facebook group (facebook.group.posts)
  • Price: $0.00188 per call. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.

Inputs

Name Type Required Description
cursor string no
group_id string no
sort_by string no Example: “CHRONOLOGICAL”
url string no Example: “https://www.facebook.com/groups/1270525996445602/”

Output

Shape of the run’s result, the expected shape, not yet checked against real answers:

{ posts: { id, url, text, image, author: { id, name, __typename, short_name }, publishTime, topComments: { id, text, author: { ... }, publishTime }[], commentCount, videoDetails: {}, creation_time, reactionCount, videoViewCount, reaction_counts: { sad, wow, care, haha, like, love, anger, pride, confused, thankful } }[], success, credits_charged, credits_remaining }

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

Example input with placeholder values:

curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"scrapecreators-facebook-group-posts","input":{"url":"<url>","sort_by":"CHRONOLOGICAL","group_id":"<group_id>"},"wait":30}'
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.LOOOT_TOKEN}`,
    "Content-Type": "application/json",
    "Idempotency-Key": crypto.randomUUID(),
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    endpointId: "scrapecreators-facebook-group-posts",

      sort_by: "CHRONOLOGICAL",
      group_id: "<group_id>",
    },
    wait: 30,
  }),
});
const run = await response.json();
console.log(run.status, run.result);
