Icypeas / Search the company database

Icypeas tool icypeas-find-companies on looot: input fields, $0.00038 per result, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

Searches Icypeas’s company dataset by filters such as name, LinkedIn id, industry, headcount and revenue. Send query; pagination.size sets the page (1 to 200). Returns leads with address, description, employee growth and revenue range in the same call. Priced per company returned; icypeas-find-companies-count sizes a query first.

Inputs

Name Type Required Description
pagination object no Optional. Omit entirely for the first page (default page size 100), or set just size on that first call to change the page size; pass back the token from the previous response’s pagination object to fetch the next page (leave query unchanged between pages – changing it mid-pagination is undefined behavior, and tokens expire).
query object yes Filter object for the company dataset. Each field takes {include:[…], exclude:[…]} (open text) unless noted: name, lid (LinkedIn public id, e.g. “google” from linkedin.com/company/google), urn (numeric LinkedIn id), companyId (domain, URN, LinkedIn URL or vanity name), type (Privately Held | Sole Proprietorship | Self-Employed | Partnership | Public Company | Nonprofit | Educational Institution | Government Agency), industry, location (alpha-2 country code preferred; a comma narrows it, e…

Output

Shape of the run’s result, checked against 73 real answers:

{ error, leads: { _id, lid, url, urn, name, type, phone, slogan, address, revenue: { unit, amount, currency }, website, industry, pictureUrl, description, foundedYear, specialties: { value }[], employeeGrowth: { timespan, percentage }[], headcountRange: { gte, lte }, numberOfEmployees, estimatedRevenuRange: { estimatedMaxRevenue: { ... }, estimatedMinRevenue: { ... } } }[], total, success, pagination: { size, token }, validationErrors: { type, field, actual: { country }, message, expected, humanReadableMessage }[] }

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.
