Icypeas / Find a work email from a name and domain

Icypeas tool icypeas-email-find on looot: input fields, $0.019 per result, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

Finds a person’s work email. Send domainOrCompany plus firstname, lastname or both. The call waits up to 60 s for Icypeas to finish and returns items[0].status (FOUND or NOT_FOUND) and items[0].results.emails, each with email, certainty, mxRecords and mxProvider. For more than a few people, use icypeas-bulk-search. Send domainOrCompany plus firstname and/or lastname.

Inputs

Name Type Required Description
custom object no Optional per-search webhook and tracking id.
domainOrCompany string yes The company’s domain or name. Example: “example.com”
firstname string no First name of the person to find. Can be omitted if lastname is set.
lastname string no Last name of the person to find. Can be omitted if firstname is set.

Output

Shape of the run’s result, checked against 1261 real answers:

{ items: { _id, name, user, order, status, system: { createdAt, modifiedAt }, results: { li, emails: { ... }[], gender, phones: unknown[], fullname, lastname, firstname, saasServices: unknown[] }, userData: { provider, externalId, webhookUrl } }[], sorts: unknown[][], total, success, validationErrors: { type, field, actual, message, expected, humanReadableMessage }[] }

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

Example input with placeholder values:

curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"icypeas-email-find","input":{"domainOrCompany":"example.com","lastname":"Doe","firstname":"Jane"},"wait":30}'
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.LOOOT_TOKEN}`,
    "Content-Type": "application/json",
    "Idempotency-Key": crypto.randomUUID(),
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    endpointId: "icypeas-email-find",
    input: {
      domainOrCompany: "example.com",
      lastname: "Doe",
      firstname: "Jane",
    },
    wait: 30,
  }),
});
const run = await response.json();
console.log(run.status, run.result);

import requests

response = requests.post(
    "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs",

        "Idempotency-Key": str(uuid.uuid4()),
    },
    json={

    timeout=90,

To let looot pick among every provider of this job instead, send job:people.email.find as endpointId; see the job page.
