Hunter / Enrich a person from an email

Hunter tool hunter-people-find on looot: input fields, $0.0049 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

Returns a person’s profile from an email or LinkedIn handle. Send email or linkedin_handle. Returns data with name, employment (company, role, seniority, title), location, bio and social handles. Send one of: email, linkedin_handle.

Inputs

Name Type Required Description
clearbit_format string no When set to any non-empty value, return the Clearbit-compatible response shape. Example: “true”
email string no Email address to enrich.
linkedin_handle string no LinkedIn profile handle to enrich.

Output

Shape of the run’s result, the expected shape, not yet checked against real answers:

{ data: { id, bio, geo: { lat, lng, city, state, country, stateCode, countryCode }, name: { fullName, givenName, familyName }, site, email, fuzzy, phone, avatar, github: { id, blog, avatar, handle, company, followers, following }, twitter: { id, bio, site, avatar, handle, location, statuses, favorites, followers, following }, activeAt, facebook: { handle }, gravatar: { urls: unknown[], avatar, handle, avatars: unknown[] }, linkedin: { handle }, location, timeZone, indexedAt, utcOffset, employment: { name, role, title, domain, subRole, seniority }, googleplus: { handle }, inactiveAt, emailProvi... ...

The shape is cut here. Signed in, looot inspect hunter-people-find prints all of it.

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

Example input with placeholder values:

curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"hunter-people-find","input":{"email":"jane.doe@example.com","clearbit_format":"true"},"wait":30}'
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.LOOOT_TOKEN}`,
    "Content-Type": "application/json",
    "Idempotency-Key": crypto.randomUUID(),
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    endpointId: "hunter-people-find",
    input: {
      email: "jane.doe@example.com",
      clearbit_format: "true",
    },
    wait: 30,
  }),
});
const run = await response.json();
console.log(run.status, run.result);

import requests

response = requests.post(

    headers={
        "Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['LOOOT_TOKEN']}",
        "Idempotency-Key": str(uuid.uuid4()),
    },
    json={

    timeout=90,

To let looot pick among every provider of this job instead, send job:people.enrich as endpointId; see the job page.
