Gmail API / Send message
Gmail tool gmail-messages-send on looot: input fields, $0 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.
Write action: this sends a real email from the user’s connected Gmail account. Confirm the details with the user before calling. Sends an email (developers.google.com/gmail/api/reference/rest/v1/users.messages/send): the body is a Message resource whose only field is raw, a base64url-encoded full RFC 2822 message (developers.google.com/gmail/api/guides/sending, “Creating messages”). To build raw: write the complete email as RFC 2822 text (headers To/From/Subject/Content-Type followed by a blank line and the body), then base64url-encode those bytes (standard base64 with ‘+’ -> ‘-’, ‘/’ -> ‘_’, and ‘=’ padding stripped) – e.g. in Node, Buffer.from(rfc2822Text).toString(‘base64url’).
- Tool id:
gmail-messages-send - Provider: Gmail
- Job: Send gmail messages (
gmail.messages.send) - Price: $0 per call. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.
Inputs
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
raw |
string | yes | Base64url-encoded, RFC 2822-formatted email (see description for how to build it). |
Output
The run’s result holds the provider’s answer. Signed in, looot inspect gmail-messages-send prints its fields.
Run it
Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.
Example input with placeholder values:
curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
