DataForSEO Backlinks API / /v3/backlinks/domain_intersection/live.ai

DataForSEO tool dataforseo-backlinks-domain-intersection-live-ai on looot: input fields, $0.024 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

This endpoint will provide you with the list of domains pointing to the specified websites. This endpoint is especially useful for creating a Link Gap feature that shows what domains link to your competitors but do not link out to your website

Inputs

exclude_targets array no domains, subdomains or webpages you want to exclude optional field you can specify up to 10 domains, subdomains or webpages if you use this array, results will contain the referring domains that link to targets but don’t link to exclude_targets example: [“bbc.com”,“https://www.apple.com/iphone/”,“https://dataforseo.com/apis/”]
filters array no Array-based filter expression. A single condition is a 3-element array: [field, operator, value]. Combine conditions with [“and”|“or”] between them: [condition, “and”, condition]. Max 8 filters. Operators: regex, not_regex, =, <>, in, not_in, like, not_like, ilike, not_ilike, match, not_match Use % with like/not_like to match any string of zero or more characters. Examples: Single: [“1.internal_links_count”,“>”,“1”] Combined: [[“2.referring_pages”,“>”,“2”],“and”,[“1.backlinks”,“>”,“10”]]
limit number no the maximum number of returned results
offset number no offset in the array of returned results optional field default value: 0 if you specify the 10 value, the first ten backlinks in the results array will be omitted and the data will be provided for the successive backlinks
order_by array no results sorting rules optional field you can use the same values as in the filters array to sort the results possible sorting types: asc, results will be sorted in the ascending order desc, results will be sorted in the descending order you should use a comma to set up a sorting type example: [“backlinks,desc”] note that you can set no more than three sorting rules in a single request you should use a comma to separate several sorting rules example: [“backlinks,desc”,“rank,asc”]
targets object yes object of numbered keys to domains/pages, e.g. {“1”: “nike.com”, “2”: “adidas.com”} (DataForSEO intersection format); Object containing two target values to compare

Output

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.
