Bright Data / Get an Amazon product's reviews
Bright Data tool brightdata-amazon-reviews on looot: input fields, $0.0015 per result, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.
Returns the reviews on an Amazon product from its URL (amazon.com/dp/{ASIN}) with Bright Data’s scraper. Send input, a list with exactly one object: url and max_reviews (1 to 100); a job run takes url and limit instead. Returns one record per review: rating, title, text, date, reviewer name and verified purchase, with the product’s ASIN. Slow targets can take a few minutes.
- Tool id:
brightdata-amazon-reviews - Provider: Bright Data
- Job: Read the reviews on an Amazon product (
amazon.product.reviews) - Price: $0.0015 per result. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.
Inputs
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
input |
array | yes | Exactly one product |
format |
string | no | Always json |
Output
Shape of the run’s result, the expected shape, not yet checked against real answers:
{ snapshot_id } | [ { url, asin, rating, review_title, review_text, review_date, reviewer_name, verified_purchase, reviews_count, input } ]
Run it
Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.
Example input with placeholder values:
curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
