AnyAPI / Google Maps Search

AnyAPI tool anyapi-run-maps-search on looot: input fields, $0.00175 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

Search Google Maps for places matching a query and location: up to 20 normalized place records with ratings, addresses, and contact basics per request. Price: $1.75 per 1,000 requests (flat per request - same cost regardless of results returned). Routing: 4 independent lanes are available in execution order. A failed attempt uses the next lane only when the request’s payment authorizes that lane’s price; the normalized schema stays the same. Catalog: Google Maps Search pricing and uptime - live USD price, lane routing, and measured 30-day uptime. Every Maps endpoint.

  • Tool id: anyapi-run-maps-search
  • Provider: AnyAPI
  • Job: Find local businesses on Google Maps (maps.local.search)
  • Price: $0.00175 per call. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.

Inputs

Name Type Required Description
categoryFilterWords array no Optional list of Google Maps place-category names to keep; results are limited to places whose category matches one of these. Use lowercase category names as shown on Google Maps (e.g. [“coffee shop”, “restaurant”]). Omit to include all categories and stay on the cheapest price; a category filter routes to a dearer source.
language string no Two-letter language code for the results (e.g. en).
limit integer no Maximum number of results to return (1-20, default 20). Pricing depends on the selected provider and may be flat per request.
location string yes Free-text location to search in, ideally city plus country (e.g. Austin, USA).
placeMinimumStars string no Only return places with at least this average rating: two (2+), twoAndHalf (2.5+), three (3+), threeAndHalf (3.5+), four (4+), or fourAndHalf (4.5+). Places with no reviews are excluded. Omit this field to stay on the cheapest price; a rating floor routes to a dearer source.
query string yes What you would type in the Google Maps search bar (e.g. coffee shop).
website string no Filter places by whether they list a website: allPlaces (default), withWebsite (only places that have a website), or withoutWebsite (only places without one). Omit this field, or send allPlaces, to stay on the cheapest price; withWebsite and withoutWebsite route to a dearer source.

Output

The run’s result holds the provider’s answer. Signed in, looot inspect anyapi-run-maps-search prints its fields.

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

Example input with placeholder values:

curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"anyapi-run-maps-search","input":{"query":"<query>","location":"<location>"},"wait":30}'
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",

});
