AnyAPI / Google Maps Place Lookup

AnyAPI tool anyapi-run-maps-place on looot: input fields, $0.00175 per call, output shape, and code to run it with curl, JavaScript or Python.

Look up a place on Google Maps by name or search query (optionally scoped to a location) and get the best-matching place with available address, contact, rating, and coordinate details as normalized JSON. Price: $1.75 per 1,000 requests (flat per request - same cost regardless of results returned). Routing: 3 independent lanes are available in execution order. A failed attempt uses the next lane only when the request’s payment authorizes that lane’s price; the normalized schema stays the same. Catalog: Google Maps Place Lookup pricing and uptime - live USD price, lane routing, and measured 30-day uptime. Every Maps endpoint.

  • Tool id: anyapi-run-maps-place
  • Provider: AnyAPI
  • Job: Look up a place and its details (maps.place.get)
  • Price: $0.00175 per call. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.

Inputs

Name Type Required Description
categoryFilterWords array no Optional list of Google Maps place-category names to keep; the match is limited to a place whose category is one of these. Use lowercase category names as shown on Google Maps (e.g. [“coffee shop”]). Omit to allow any category and stay on the cheapest price; a category filter routes to a dearer source.
language string no Two-letter language code for the result details (e.g. en).
location string no Optional free-text location to scope the search, ideally city plus state or country (e.g. San Francisco, CA). Narrows the query to the best match in that area.
placeMinimumStars string no Only match a place with at least this average rating: two (2+), twoAndHalf (2.5+), three (3+), threeAndHalf (3.5+), four (4+), or fourAndHalf (4.5+). Places with no reviews are excluded. Omit this field to stay on the cheapest price; a rating floor routes to a dearer source.
query string yes The business name or search text to look up, as you would type it into the Google Maps search bar (e.g. Blue Bottle Coffee).
website string no Filter by whether the place lists a website: allPlaces (default), withWebsite (only if it has a website), or withoutWebsite (only if it has none). Omit this field, or send allPlaces, to stay on the cheapest price; withWebsite and withoutWebsite route to a dearer source.

Output

The run’s result holds the provider’s answer. Signed in, looot inspect anyapi-run-maps-place prints its fields.

Run it

Every call needs your API token in LOOOT_TOKEN; Sign in shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With wait: 30 the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

Example input with placeholder values:

curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"anyapi-run-maps-place","input":{"query":"<query>"},"wait":30}'
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.LOOOT_TOKEN}`,
    "Content-Type": "application/json",
    "Idempotency-Key": crypto.randomUUID(),
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    endpointId: "anyapi-run-maps-place",
    input: {
      query: "<query>",
    },
    wait: 30,
  }),
});
const run = await response.json();
console.log(run.status, run.result);

import requests

response = requests.post(
    "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs",

        "Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['LOOOT_TOKEN']}",
        "Idempotency-Key": str(uuid.uuid4()),
    },
    json={

        "input": {
            "query": "<query>",
        },
        "wait": 30,

    timeout=90,

run = response.json()
print(run["status"], run.get("result"))

To let looot pick among every provider of this job instead, send job:maps.place.get as endpointId; see the job page.
