Finds a person's work email. Send domain or company, plus full_name or both first_name and last_name. Returns data.email with a score, verification status, accept_all, the person's position, department, LinkedIn and Twitter, and the sources where the address was seen. A search that finds no email is charged the same as one that does. Send domain (or company) plus first_name and last_name, or full_name.

- **Tool id:** `tomba-email-finder`
- **Provider:** [Tomba](/providers/tomba)
- **Job:** [Find a work email from a name and domain](/reference/jobs/people-email-find) (`people.email.find`)
- **Price:** $0.0089 per call. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.

## Inputs

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `company` | string | no | Company name, used when domain is not sent. Tomba accepts 3 to 75 characters; domain gives better results and wins when both are sent. |
| `domain` | string | no | Company domain, for example example.com. Send domain or company. Tomba needs domain or company, plus full_name or both first_name and last_name (docs.tomba.io email-finder). Example: "example.com" |
| `enrich_mobile` | boolean | no | Set to true to get the phone number associated with the email address found. |
| `first_name` | string | no | The person's first name. Needed with last_name when full_name is not sent. |
| `full_name` | string | no | The person's full name. Send full_name, or both first_name and last_name. |
| `last_name` | string | no | The person's last name. Needed with first_name when full_name is not sent. |
| `webhook_url` | string | no | Optional webhook URL to receive results asynchronously. If not provided, results will be returned in the response body. |

## Output

Shape of the run's `result`, checked against 2 real answers:

```txt
{ data: { type, email, score, gender, company, country, pattern, sources: { uri, website_url, extracted_on, last_seen_on, still_on_page }[], twitter, linkedin, position, full_name, last_name, accept_all, department, first_name, website_url, phone_number, verification: { date, status } } }
```

## Run it

Every call needs your API token in `LOOOT_TOKEN`; [Sign in](/get-started/sign-in#use-the-token-in-scripts-and-agents) shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With `wait: 30` the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll `GET /v1/runs/<runId>`.

Example input with placeholder values:

<CodeGroup>

```bash curl
curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"tomba-email-finder","input":{"domain":"example.com","last_name":"Doe","first_name":"Jane"},"wait":30}'
```

```js JavaScript
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.LOOOT_TOKEN}`,
    "Content-Type": "application/json",
    "Idempotency-Key": crypto.randomUUID(),
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    endpointId: "tomba-email-finder",
    input: {
      domain: "example.com",
      last_name: "Doe",
      first_name: "Jane",
    },
    wait: 30,
  }),
});
const run = await response.json();
console.log(run.status, run.result);
```

```python Python
import os
import uuid
import requests
response = requests.post(
    "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs",
    headers={
        "Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['LOOOT_TOKEN']}",
        "Idempotency-Key": str(uuid.uuid4()),
    },
    json={
        "endpointId": "tomba-email-finder",
        "input": {
        "wait": 30,
    },
    timeout=90,
)
run = response.json()
print(run["status"], run.get("result"))
To let looot pick among every provider of this job instead, send `job:people.email.find` as `endpointId`; see [the job page](/reference/jobs/people-email-find).
