Finds a person's professional email. Send domain or company plus full_name (or first_name and last_name), or send linkedin_handle alone. Returns data.email with a score, verification status and date, accept_all, position, linkedin_url, phone_number and the sources where it was seen. A search that finds no email is charged the same as one that does (19 of 82 saved runs were misses at full price).

- **Tool id:** `hunter-email-finder`
- **Provider:** [Hunter](/providers/hunter)
- **Job:** [Find a work email from a name and domain](/reference/jobs/people-email-find) (`people.email.find`)
- **Price:** $0.0245 per call. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.

## Inputs

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `company` | string | no |   |
| `domain` | string | no | Example: "example.com" |
| `first_name` | string | no |   |
| `full_name` | string | no |   |
| `last_name` | string | no |   |
| `linkedin_handle` | string | no |   |
| `max_duration` | integer | no |   |

## Output

Shape of the run's `result`, checked against 80 real answers:

```txt
{ data: { email, score, domain, company, sources: { uri, domain, extracted_on, last_seen_on, still_on_page }[], twitter, position, last_name, accept_all, first_name, source_type, linkedin_url, phone_number, verification: { date, status } }, meta: { params: { domain, company, full_name, last_name, first_name, max_duration, linkedin_handle } } }
```

## Run it

Every call needs your API token in `LOOOT_TOKEN`; [Sign in](/get-started/sign-in#use-the-token-in-scripts-and-agents) shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With `wait: 30` the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll `GET /v1/runs/<runId>`.

Example input with placeholder values:

```bash curl
curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"hunter-email-finder","input":{"domain":"example.com","last_name":"Doe","first_name":"Jane"},"wait":30}'
```

```js JavaScript
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.LOOOT_TOKEN}`,
    wait: 30,
});
const run = await response.json();
To let looot pick among every provider of this job instead, send `job:people.email.find` as `endpointId`; see [the job page](/reference/jobs/people-email-find).
