Full-text search across the whole The Verge archive back to 2011. Each hit carries the headline, the excerpt, a keyword-in-context snippet, publish and update timestamps, the credited authors, the section and topic it was filed under, the full parsely tag list and the lede image. The source serves at most 100 hits per query however many stories actually match. **Price:** 10 credits per 10 results

- **Tool id:** `anysite-api-theverge-articles-search`
- **Provider:** [Anysite](/providers/anysite)
- **Job:** [Search api theverge articles](/reference/jobs/api-theverge-articles-search) (`api.theverge.articles.search`)
- **Price:** $0.0036 per result. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.

## Inputs

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `count` | integer | yes | Max number of stories to return, capped at 100 by the source |
| `keyword` | string | yes | Full-text query matched against the whole verge archive. Example: "openai" |
| `timeout` | integer | no | Max scrapping execution timeout (in seconds) |
| `x-request-id` | string | no |   |

## Output

The run's `result` holds the provider's answer. Signed in, `looot inspect anysite-api-theverge-articles-search` prints its fields.

## Run it

Every call needs your API token in `LOOOT_TOKEN`; [Sign in](/get-started/sign-in#use-the-token-in-scripts-and-agents) shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With `wait: 30` the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll `GET /v1/runs/<runId>`.

Example input with placeholder values:

<CodeGroup>

```bash curl
curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"anysite-api-theverge-articles-search","input":{"keyword":"openai","count":1},"wait":30}'
```

```js JavaScript
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
