Search Crunchbase companies in dataset (fast) **Price:** 1 credit per 1 results

- **Tool id:** `anysite-api-crunchbase-db-search`
- **Provider:** [Anysite](/providers/anysite)
- **Job:** [Search api crunchbase db](/reference/jobs/api-crunchbase-db-search) (`api.crunchbase.db.search`)
- **Price:** $0.0036 per result. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.

## Inputs

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `count` | integer | yes | Max result count. A `dry_run` request ignores it. |
| `dry_run` | boolean | no | Return how many companies match these filters instead of the companies. The response is a 209 with an empty body and the number in the headers, so a filter set can be sized before it is run for real. It stops at 100000, a wider filter set reports exactly that and means 'at least'. |
| `employee_count_max` | integer | no |   |
| `employee_count_min` | integer | no |   |
| `founded_after` | integer | no |   |
| `founded_before` | integer | no |   |
| `funding_total_max` | integer | no |   |
| `funding_total_min` | integer | no |   |
| `industry` | unknown | no | Industries. Example: 'SaaS' or ['SaaS', 'Cloud Computing'] |
| `investors` | unknown | no | Investor names. Example: 'Sequoia Capital' or ['Sequoia Capital', 'Andreessen Horowitz'] |
| `keywords` | unknown | no | Description keywords. Example: 'FinTech' or ['RegTech', 'FinTech'] |
| `last_funding_date_after` | integer | no |   |
| `last_funding_date_before` | integer | no |   |
| `last_funding_type` | unknown | no | Last funding round type(s) |
| `location` | unknown | no | HQ locations. Example: 'Boston' or ['San Francisco', 'Boston'] |
| `timeout` | integer | no | Max scrapping execution timeout (in seconds) |
| `x-request-id` | string | no |   |

## Output

The run's `result` holds the provider's answer. Signed in, `looot inspect anysite-api-crunchbase-db-search` prints its fields.

## Run it

Every call needs your API token in `LOOOT_TOKEN`; [Sign in](/get-started/sign-in#use-the-token-in-scripts-and-agents) shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With `wait: 30` the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll `GET /v1/runs/<runId>`.

Example input with placeholder values:

<CodeGroup>

```bash curl
curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"anysite-api-crunchbase-db-search","input":{"count":1},"wait":30}'
```

```js JavaScript
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.LOOOT_TOKEN}`,
    "Content-Type": "application/json",
    "Idempotency-Key": crypto.randomUUID(),
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    endpointId: "anysite-api-crunchbase-db-search",
    input: {
      count: 1,
    },
    wait: 30,
  }),
});
const run = await response.json();
console.log(run.status, run.result);
```

```python Python
import os
import uuid
import requests
response = requests.post(
    "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs",
    headers={
        "Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['LOOOT_TOKEN']}",
        "Idempotency-Key": str(uuid.uuid4()),
    },
    json={
        "endpointId": "anysite-api-crunchbase-db-search",
        "input": {
            "count": 1,
        },
        "wait": 30,
    },
    timeout=90,
)
run = response.json()
print(run["status"], run.get("result"))
```

To let looot pick among every provider of this job instead, send `job:api.crunchbase.db.search` as `endpointId`; see [the job page](/reference/jobs/api-crunchbase-db-search).
