Ask Google Search a prompt and receive the AI Overview it generated for that scrape, with every source Google listed. Google regenerates the overview per search, so the same prompt can return different wording and a different source list. **Price:** \$1.50 per 1,000 requests (flat per request - same cost regardless of results returned). **Routing:** 2 independent lanes are available in execution order. A failed attempt uses the next lane only when the request's payment authorizes that lane's price; the normalized schema stays the same. **Catalog:** [Google AI Overview pricing and uptime](https://getanyapi.com/api/google/ai-overview) - live USD price, lane routing, and measured 30-day uptime. [Every Google endpoint](https://getanyapi.com/api/google).

- **Tool id:** `anyapi-run-google-ai-overview`
- **Provider:** AnyAPI
- **Job:** [Ai overview google serp](/reference/jobs/google-serp-ai-overview) (`google.serp.ai-overview`)
- **Price:** $0.0018 per call. A call that fails at the provider costs $0.

## Inputs

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `prompt` | string | yes | The question or prompt to answer with a Google AI Overview. |

## Output

The run's `result` holds the provider's answer. Signed in, `looot inspect anyapi-run-google-ai-overview` prints its fields.

## Run it

Every call needs your API token in `LOOOT_TOKEN`; [Sign in](/get-started/sign-in#use-the-token-in-scripts-and-agents) shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With `wait: 30` the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll `GET /v1/runs/<runId>`.

Example input with placeholder values:

```bash curl
curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"anyapi-run-google-ai-overview","input":{"prompt":"<prompt>"},"wait":30}'
```

```js JavaScript
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
});
const run = await response.json();
console.log(run.status, run.result);
```
