Ai overview google serp.

Job id `google.serp.ai-overview`, in Ads intelligence (Google). As of 2026-10-01, 2 providers serve it through 2 tools. Run `job:google.serp.ai-overview` and looot picks one of them; with `fallback` on, a miss moves on to the next. See [Jobs](/concepts/jobs).

## Inputs

Fields the job's tools take, most shared first. Any key you send passes through unchanged.

| Name | Type | Taken by | Required by | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `device` | string | 1 of 2 | 0 | Device the search runs from. Defaults to desktop. |
| `gl` | string | 1 of 2 | 1 | Result geography as an ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code. Example: "US" |
| `hl` | string | 1 of 2 | 0 | Interface language as a Google hl code, for example en, de or pt-BR. Overrides the language derived from the country. Example: "en" |
| `include` | object | 1 of 2 | 1 | Response formats. aioverview is required on this endpoint. |
| `location` | string | 1 of 2 | 0 | Google canonical location name, City,Region,Country. Use with a country for city-level results. Not together with uule. Example: "New York,New York,United States" |
| `pages` | integer | 1 of 2 | 0 | Result pages to scrape, 1 to 10. Each page after the first costs 2 more credits at Cloro. |
| `prompt` | string | 1 of 2 | 1 | The question or prompt to answer with a Google AI Overview. |
| `query` | string | 1 of 2 | 1 | The keyword to search on Google. Example: "best running shoes" |
| `uule` | string | 1 of 2 | 0 | Pre-encoded Google UULE location string. Not together with location. |

## Providers and prices

| Provider | Tool | Price |
| --- | --- | --- |
| AnyAPI | [`anyapi-run-google-ai-overview`](/reference/tools/anyapi-run-google-ai-overview) | $0.0018 per call |
| Cloro | [`cloro-monitor-google-ai-overview`](/reference/tools/cloro-monitor-google-ai-overview) | $0.0056 per call |

A call that fails at the provider costs $0. See [What's free](/money/free-and-failures).

## Output

The run's `result` holds the provider's answer. Signed in, `looot inspect anyapi-run-google-ai-overview` prints its fields.

## Run it

Every call needs your API token in `LOOOT_TOKEN`; [Sign in](/get-started/sign-in#use-the-token-in-scripts-and-agents) shows how to get one. Each run also needs a new idempotency key, so a retry never pays twice. With `wait: 30` the answer comes back inline when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise you get the running run back: poll `GET /v1/runs/<runId>`.

Example input with placeholder values:

<CodeGroup>

```bash curl
curl -X POST "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOOT_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"endpointId":"job:google.serp.ai-overview","input":{"prompt":"<prompt>"},"wait":30}'
```

```js JavaScript
const response = await fetch("https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.LOOOT_TOKEN}`,
    "Content-Type": "application/json",
    "Idempotency-Key": crypto.randomUUID(),
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    endpointId: "job:google.serp.ai-overview",
    input: {
      prompt: "<prompt>",
    },
    wait: 30,
  }),
});
const run = await response.json();
console.log(run.status, run.result);
```

```python Python
import os
import uuid
import requests
response = requests.post(
    "https://api.looot.ai/v1/runs",
    headers={
        "Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['LOOOT_TOKEN']}",
        "Idempotency-Key": str(uuid.uuid4()),
    },
    json={
        "endpointId": "job:google.serp.ai-overview",
        "input": {
            "prompt": "<prompt>",
        },
        "wait": 30,
    },
    timeout=90,
)
run = response.json()
print(run["status"], run.get("result"))
```

To pin one provider, send its tool id as `endpointId` instead of `job:google.serp.ai-overview`.
