`research-company` only loads when you run its command, `/looot:research-company` in Claude Code,
with a domain argument.

## What it does

1. If the looot tools are missing or answer 401, it follows the [setup skill](/plugin/skills/setup)
   first.
2. It reduces the input to a bare domain (`https://www.example.com/about` becomes `example.com`).
   If it only has a company name, it asks for the domain or searches for it.
3. It follows "Account research from a domain" in the [recipes skill](/plugin/skills/recipes),
   saying the estimated total before the first run, and skipping any step the user doesn't need.
4. It answers with one brief: what the company does, size and industry, tech stack, the last few
   news items with dates, and contacts found. After each fact it names the provider
   ([`servedProviderId`](/concepts/served-provider)), and ends with the total spent (the sum of `actualCost`).
