The looot plugin isn't in a public marketplace yet. Until the public repository exists, install
it from a local path or a private repository you have access to, in place of
`<marketplace path or owner/repo>` below.

**Claude Code**

Add the marketplace, then install the plugin:

/plugin marketplace add <marketplace path or owner/repo>
/plugin install looot@looot
```

Then sign in:

```text
/mcp
```

Pick `plugin:looot:looot`, then **Authenticate**. The browser opens looot.ai; pick the
organization to bill and click **Connect**.

If you already added looot yourself with `claude mcp add looot ...`, remove that entry first
(`claude mcp remove looot`), or the tools load twice.

To remove the plugin later:

/plugin marketplace remove looot
```

**Codex**

codex plugin marketplace add <marketplace path or owner/repo>
codex plugin add looot@looot
codex mcp login looot
```

`codex mcp list` shows `looot` as "Not logged in" until you sign in. `login` opens the browser on
looot.ai; pick the organization to bill and click **Connect**.

**Cursor**

Copy `plugins/cursor/looot` from the plugin's generated files into `~/.cursor/plugins/local`, then
reload the window. Cursor's own marketplace only takes a public repository, so this local-copy
step is the only way in until the plugin is published there.

## Slash commands

Every skill in the plugin is also a slash command in Claude Code:

- `/looot:setup`
- `/looot:find-email`
- `/looot:research-company`

The other four skills (`find-and-run`, `money`, `recipes`, `troubleshooting`) load automatically
when the agent judges them relevant, and don't need a command.

## Check it works

Ask the agent to call [`balance`](/mcp-tools/balance) or [`catalog_overview`](/mcp-tools/catalog-overview). Both are free. A working connection
answers with your available balance, or the catalog's categories and job counts.
