Short guides for doing a task with looot the right way, and for getting unstuck. They are the
same guides the site serves as `skill.md` files on its alternatives, use case, recipe and provider
pages, plus edge case guides written for agents: no email found, the provider needs your own
account, a run came back `queued`, a batch of more than 100 calls, balance too low, a price higher
than expected, and more. Free, read-only, never charged.

Guides never hold a price. Read the live price with [`inspect`](/mcp-tools/inspect) before a paid call.

## Inputs

| `query` | string | No | - | 1-300 chars | The task or the problem in plain words. Answers up to 10 guides, best first. |
| `slug` | string | No | - | 1-200 chars | One guide's slug, from the index or a search. Answers the full guide as markdown. |

With no argument the tool answers an index of 40 guides and the total count. With both, `slug` wins.

A `slug` call answers `{ mode: "guide", slug, kind, title, jobIds, endpointIds, markdown }`.

## Errors

An unknown slug returns `not_found` with `suggestions`, the closest slugs. Call `skills` with a
query to find the right one.
