You can search the catalog and read prices before you create an account. With no token saved or
set, [`search`](/mcp-tools/search), [`inspect`](/mcp-tools/inspect) and `catalog compare` read the public catalog and never ask you to sign
in.

## Search by what you want done

Describe the job in plain words:

Signed out, search returns 10 results by default. Pass `--limit N` (1 to 100), `--provider <id>`
or `--category <id>` to narrow it.

The price column shows how the endpoint is billed: `/call` is a flat price per call, `/result` is
per result returned, and `see inspect` means the price depends on the input. See

## Inspect one endpoint

The `/search` endpoint allows you to retrieve web content.

Run it: `looot login`, then `looot inspect` again for the exact input schema and max cost.

Signed out, `inspect` shows the provider, the price and the description. Once you are signed in,
the same command also returns the exact input schema, the output schema and the estimated maximum
cost of one run.

## Compare endpoints

`--ids` takes 2 to 20 distinct endpoint ids, comma-separated.

## Without the CLI

The same public catalog is on the REST API with no token:
