Copilot Studio adds looot as a tool on an individual agent. The agent needs generative
orchestration turned on first.

Before you start you need a looot account. The runs you make spend the organization's balance, so
top up before your first paid run. See [Before your first run](/money#before-your-first-run).

## Add the tool

1. Open the agent, go to **Tools**, and click **Add a tool**.
2. Click **New tool**, then **Model Context Protocol**. This opens the MCP onboarding wizard.
3. Fill in:
   - **Server name**: `looot`.
   - **Server description**: a short line the orchestrator uses to decide when to call the tool,
     for example "Find, price and run data APIs for SEO, enrichment, email finding and
     verification, and social profiles."
   - **Server URL**: `https://api.looot.ai/mcp`.
   - **Authentication**: **OAuth 2.0**, type **Dynamic discovery (DCR)**.
4. Click **Create**, then **Next**.
5. Click **Create a new connection**, then **Add to agent**. The connection's own sign-in takes
   you to looot.ai, where you pick the organization and click **Connect**.

Copilot Studio's MCP support is Streamable HTTP only.

## Header token instead

If your setup can't complete OAuth dynamic discovery, add the tool with **Authentication**: **API
key**, type **Header**, name `Authorization`. The value is the header your looot token needs,
`Bearer <token>`; this hasn't been confirmed by hand, so check the value Copilot Studio actually
sends before relying on it. Create the token in Settings, **Agent tokens**, on looot.ai.

## Known limits

Microsoft's troubleshooting page lists limits that can affect any MCP server's tools inside
Copilot Studio: a tool whose input uses a `$ref` in its schema is filtered out, and enum values
are read back as plain strings. If a looot tool doesn't show up or its inputs look wrong, check
that page first.

## Check it works

Ask the agent to call [`balance`](/mcp-tools/balance) or [`catalog_overview`](/mcp-tools/catalog-overview). Both are free. A working connection
answers with your available balance, or the catalog's categories and job counts.

## What you see when you connect

The connection's sign-in opens looot.ai and shows the consent page: which organization to bill,
which scopes to grant and how long to stay connected. See
